We were in the park by 6 am and saw deer, elk, mountain sheep and bears! John got in a few minutes of fishing and I'm quickly posting these images while he gets the trailer hooked up so we can cross the border into Canada and get to Radium Springs. The bears were amazing--the smaller one was pawing at something--and then they just walked off. Image was taken through the windshield.

Wow - those pictures are incredible! The only bears I've ever seen have been on TV or stuffed in a museum - it's so cool that you were able to view them in their natural habitat. The trip looks to have been amazing thus far, and you've only just begun! I'm looking forward to each post, and have printed the first week's posts and mailed to Grandpa! Love you both,

Too cool!!! (I'm glad the bear pic was thru the windshield -- brava!)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. It looks so cool and peaceful there. I spent the weekend in Annapolis. 89 degrees, 1,500% humidity - that is not a typo, and 50,000 people on Main Street alone. Enjoy the quiet. V.
ReplyDeleteLook at that mirror shot of the mountain in the lake! Wow. I know, I keep saying, wow.
ReplyDeleteBut, really! Wow...
